The Gardendale Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1971
to provide emergency services to Citizens of East Bexar County (San Antonio, Texas). The
Department covers approximately 18 square miles and provides fire, rescue, first responder
and public education to citizens in and around its area.
The Department is currently a member of the State Firemen's &
Fire Marshals' Association of Texas.
The Gardendale Fire Department also provides fire and rescue
services for the San Antonio Speedway on Hwy 16.
