Offering fire, emergency medical, and rescue services
is an interesting undertaking. Often, there is a strong desire
for departments to display proficiency in these tasks by
single-handedly accomplishing great feats. There are also many aspects of operating a fire department that
require the cooperation and collaboration of many different agencies
working together to achieve a common goal.
Each department within the jurisdictional boundaries
of Bexar County is capable of achieving a great deal of success on
it's own. Imagine what could be accomplished if each of these
departments could combine their knowledge, dedication and talent to
create an organization dedicated to overcoming many of the challenges
that they do not have the resources to resolve individually....
The Bexar County Firefighter's
Association is dedicated to providing a valuable resource to each
volunteer, part-volunteer, municipal, and paid fire department within Bexar County.
The mission of the association is to consolidate the needs of
individual agencies and work to remedy those needs by leveraging the
combined resources of all of it's members. The result is a
dynamic team of fire departments overcoming challenges together rather
than settling for simply enduring issues that only stand to make the
tasks at hand more difficult.
In order to fulfill this mission, the members and potential members of
the association need to express what challenges are being presented
along with what needs to be done to overcome these obstacles.
In an effort to streamline the method in which
departments can report the issues they face, the following survey has
been created to gather information in a organized manner. The
survey is open to any member of any fire department in or around
Bexar County. For questions or comments about this survey,
please send an e-mail to webmaster@bcffa.org.
